What do the items of our past say about how we lived?
My work is a love letter to the feminine experience. I often feel nostalgic for eras and lives I never lived. Fascinated with the stories behind old objects, ephemera, and textiles, I create sculptures that invite you to think about the narratives of our past.
Thinking about our collective mortality and what evidence remains of our existence, I use my work as a vessel to process my complex feelings about life and death. There’s something fascinating about how objects hold time and memory. These objects, handwritten letters, and photos are often found suspended in resin or decorating the surface of my work, assembled to tell a reimagined story. What we inevitably leave behind says something about us as individuals, and as a culture.
